Job description

As the Senior Project Specialist, Office of the CTO, you will be essential to the company as we grow in size and organizational complexity. Reporting to the CTO, you will help manage and create visibility into key business priorities as they emerge. The ideal candidate is a highly dynamic and driven team player who is excited by the opportunity to use their expertise to help increase CTO effectiveness by freeing up bandwidth through support across the following:

What You'll Do

Project Management

  • Advance corporate priorities in alignment with the CTO’s vision, acting as a project leader for strategic initiatives in a highly collaborative and cross-functional, multi-level environment

  • Manage one-time and recurring projects, meetings, activities, and initiatives related to our corporate strategy and CTO’s Office, including product roadmap, evangelism, and engineering activities, from development through successful execution and follow-through; take ownership, identify and filling gaps, with minimal oversight

  • Conserve the CTO’s time by proactively reading, researching, collecting and analyzing information

Ownership and Execution

  • Demonstrate positive, can do attitude; strong organization and communication skills; attention to detail; effective time management skills; and follow-through

  • Provide general administrative support including scheduling meetings and travel as needed. Manage employee and CTO requests quickly, proactively, and follow- through on tasks to successful completion.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned by CTO

IT Management and Security

  • Facilitate and support IT onboarding for incoming employees in a remote, distributed environment; order equipment, grant appropriate systems access (both technical and administrative), maintain inventory, and troubleshoot any IT issues

  • Manage projects related to internal IT systems, including adding and removing accounts, evaluating problems from dashboards and ensuring progress on internal IT initiatives.

  • Manage IT service accounts to provide catalog of vendors and handle billing and invoicing for centrally-managed services.

Job requirements

  • BS/BA degree

  • 5+ years relevant experience working in a professional environment including project management responsibilities

  • Proactive attitude interested in identifying and driving for more efficient operations through the use of cutting-edge technology

  • Entrepreneurial drive and a willingness to roll up sleeves to directly solve challenging problems

  • Organized and detail-oriented with demonstrated expertise in project management / project leadership and a solution-oriented mindset

  • Enthusiastic about technology and desire to work in an innovative technology company

  • Effective time management including the ability to multitask, organize and prioritize tasks

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

Stand Out Attributes

  • Experience in a startup environment, where systems are not all in place and built as needed

  • Experience in research analysis and strategic and creative planning ideally in a consulting, sales, marketing, developer relations, revenue and/or business operations role

  • Experience administering and/or troubleshooting IT issues related to a remote work environment using a variety of vendors’ tools
